MergeByDefect is an application that takes advantage of Surround SCM’s plugin architecture and API to give the user a tool to merge changes related to a TestTrack defect with the same file on another branch.
This application was originally posted as SSCM Bug Merge, which required a lot of manual input. MergeByDefect takes advantage of environment variables made available through the plugin architecture and the Surround SCM API to eliminate manual input.

I posted a simple TestTrack workflow tutorial in the Seapine Labs on setting up the workflow in TestTrack. The tutorial shows how to implement a TestTrack Pro workflow from scratch and explains the various components of the workflow and how they work together. Plenty of screenshots are attached, including several workflow diagrams that show how the workflow evolves as states and event are added.

We recently released a new requirements management product, TestTrack RM.
The early feedback on the product has been great. TestTrack RM is proving to be a valuable addition to the TestTrack family, which also includes TestTrack Pro (defect management) and TestTrack TCM (test case management).
While TestTrack RM provides many benefits on its own, the real power comes when it is used as an integrated solution with the other TestTrack applications. For example, you can easily determine if you have proper test coverage by ensuring that a test case has been created for every requirement. You can easily flag a test case if a requirement has changed, avoiding testing stale data and wasting time and money. For this post, I want to focus on one of the biggest benefits: complete traceability.
