I am so freakin’ proud that you still have the Infomagic CD set. I still have the T-Shirt we got when we bought one of those sets. Sweetness. I miss ElfOs.

I do love the automatic upgrade, though. It makes me happy. Of course, you can make it harder on yourself by upgrading, migrating to a virtual machine, and trying to do it all from a not-that-great backup that you made if you want to ( http://www.chiplynch.com/wordpress/?p=162 ).

Love your blog Grant. This one had me cracking up. I first thought this was going to end up as a phishing e-mail but it had a happy ending. I too would be extremely amazed if my parents jumped in and did a similar thing by themselves…I get phone calls even if they have the vaguest notion they may someday think about maybe sort of purchasing a new PC. Kudos to your mom!
